Executive Governance
The Executive GenAI Governance Group provides institutional-level oversight and final approval authority for GenAI tools with broad impact.
Scope and Authority
This group reviews:
GenAI tools proposed for enterprise-wide deployment
Escalations from GenAI Working Groups
High-risk, novel, or strategically significant GenAI initiatives
InfoAI Review Requests
Requests must have the Standard University Software Review (compliance, security, accessibility) approved before review by the GenAI Working Groups. Submit requests for review on the Technology Security and Compliance Review Portal.
UA’s GenAI governance operates as a three-tier model:
- Standard University Software Review (Baseline Compliance)
- GenAI Working Groups (Context-Specific Approval)
- Executive GenAI Governance Group (Enterprise and Escalation Oversight)
The Executive Group has final authority to approve, deny, or require modification of GenAI tools.
